Maggie needs knee surgery....again!

We are a hard working, animal loving family who could use a little help to get Maggie her second TPLO(knee) surgery on what we had believed to be her good leg!

In the past six months we have had two medical crises with two of our furkids(we are not able to have any more human children, but our one son).  Sadly, one of them resulted in the loss of our beloved Popeye, a five year old Mastiff, in November.

This was a tough decision as we watched him deteriorate from 88lbs to 60lbs over the course of five months. We had stressed all of our finances trying to help him through his health issues including Vitamin C therapy, acupuncture, vitamins/antifungals and a lot of blood work. Unfortunately, his disease, Valley Fever, got the best of him.

One month prior to Popeyes declining health, Maggie severely injured her left knee and landed herself in the amazing care of an orthopedic surgeon.  

This past Saturday we let her out to play and unfortunately she has injured her good leg in the exact same fashion as her other leg.

We humbly ask for any help crowd sourcing can offer us.

As a veterinary assistant, I'm eligible for a staff  discount on the surgery which helps immensely, but after spending all of our financial resources we had over the last six montohs, we've hit a hard spot and are needing any type of assistance.

In the meantime, we're managing her pain and discomfort as best we can, but it's heartbreaking when all she wants to do is play.
