The Rebel Girl Village

In 2017 I made the brave leap to become a single mother. Without knowing how to make ends meet, I jumped at the chance for connection and community. As I navigated this new life, I met many other single mothers and realized we had similar struggles. Not only was there a financial burden, but the lack of time, energy, and support were critical issues in our lives. We were all feeling exhausted, depleted, and isolated. Why were we all trying to do this alone? What would it look like if we created an intentional village, combined some resources, and worked together to improve our lives?

In 2019 I bought a lovely property with the vision of creating a small community to house and help single mothers. We worked together to thrive through the tough times, leaning on each other and sharing parts of our lives. We shared community meals, helped each other with child care, assisted in day-to-day tasks, and made heart-to-heart connections. In the last year and a half, we have shared our space with three other families and will continue to spread the word and help more. We are pleased to announce we have outgrown our community house and are currently looking for a property to house four families. Donations will be used to purchase a larger property with more housing to help more single-mother families. With gratitude, we thank you for your generous contribution. This mission for this village is for these women to shatter the stigma and redefine who single mamas are, reclaim their feminine power, and reimagine their brave and badass lives.
