Theresa Zurfluh Walta Medical Fund

Many of you know my sister Theresa Zurfluh Walta; but you may not realize that Theresa suffers from a genetic condition called Marfan syndrome.    Marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects the body’s connective tissue. Dissection of the ascending aorta  is the most common dissection in Marfan syndrome and it’s life-threatening  This last set of tests has revealed that Theresa will need to have surgery on her heart for this condition within the next 6 months.  Because such a small percentage of people have this syndrome she will have to have the surgery performed in Cleveland OH.

 The medical and travel expenses related to her surgery are overwhelming.  Theresa would do anything to help anyone (as many of you can attest to), well it’s time to come together to take some of this burden upon our shoulders. 
I have started a Go Fund Me account for Theresa to help with her initial costs of getting back and forth to Cleveland for pre-surgery and surgery Appointments, I am also looking to put together a Benefit for the  major medical expenses of the surgery and follow up along with medicines and care costs.  We will be looking for anyone that can help with making the benefit a success so please contact me with what you can do to show this special lady and her family some love in this stressful scary time.  Remember every little bit helps and when we all pull together we can perform miracles.  Please join my Group facebook page “ Team Theresa” to stay up to date on how things are going , progress on a Benefit, and how you can offer support.
