Thermal Drone Support Bedfordshire - finding lost animals.
I will be running Milton Keynes Half Marathon on May 5th to raise funds for Thermal Drone Support Bedfordshire. So far since my running journey began, I have had 2 fractured femurs, and most recently 2 fractured ribs caused by a running accident. Running long distance is not easy at my age! It will be a massive achievement and your contributions will spur me on, along with my running/training partner Pamela.
I'm very proud to be involved with this amazing charity. So far they have reunited countless animals (mainly dogs but also some horses and cats) with their distraught owners. They are such a dedicated team of animal lovers and the donations will go towards the upkeep, training, licencing and equipment needed to keep doing what they do. Currently TDSB are trying to purchase a drone that can be flown in all weather. These are not cheap!
The charity was born out of desperation when my friend Sam lost her dog for 12 days. He was eventually found by a drone and was still alive (just). Sam vowed to help others in similar, hopeless situations in and around Bedfordshire. Please read the full, heartbreaking and heartwarming story on their page.
Any donations, large or small will be very greatly appreciated. Thank you.
