Horizon Drone Co started with a simple idea—using drones to make a real impact. While we provide professional drone services across various industries, one of the most important things we do is help find lost dogs.
Our journey into search and rescue began when we assisted Drone SAR for Lost Dogs UK, using thermal drones to locate missing pets. Since then, we’ve helped reunite countless dogs with their owners, often in challenging conditions where time is critical. We know firsthand how stressful it is when a dog goes missing—we’ve been in that situation ourselves. That’s why we provide this service completely free of charge.
With demand growing, we’re now fundraising for a Matrice 4 Thermal drone and extra batteries. This equipment will allow us to cover larger areas, operate in tougher conditions, and improve our chances of bringing lost pets home quickly.
Every contribution helps us expand our capabilities and continue providing this service at no cost to owners. If you'd like to support us, your donation will go directly toward better equipment and more successful searches—so more families can bring their dogs home where they belong.
At Horizon Drone Co, we get calls to help find lost dogs multiple times a week, and we do this completely free of charge. But with better equipment, we could do even more. That’s why we’re raising funds for a DJI Matrice 4 Thermal Drone and extra batteries to support our search and rescue efforts with Lincoln Volunteer SAR, Drone SAR for Lost Dogs UK and Notts Lost Dogs SAR.
Who are Lincoln Volunteer SAR, Drone SAR for Lost Dogs UK and Notts Lost Dogs SAR:
We are a team of volunteers who work alongside the Lincoln Volunteer SAR group, covering the entirety of Lincolnshire, and Drone SAR for Lost Dogs UK, who support the entire UK. And Notts Lost Dogs SAR, who cover Nottinghamshire and wider areas. As volunteers, we share the same mission—helping reunite lost dogs with their families. We understand the distress of losing a beloved pet, and we feel a deep commitment to doing everything we can to reunite dogs with their owners. We operate completely free of charge because we believe every lost dog deserves the chance to be found and brought safely home.
Why This Matters:
When a dog goes missing, time is critical. Thermal drones allow us to search vast areas quickly, even in the dark or harsh conditions. But battery life is always a challenge—more batteries mean more time in the air, and more time in the air means more dogs found. We aim to support areas in Bassetlaw and the whole of Lincolnshire.
We are incredibly grateful for any amount you can give. Every donation, big or small, helps us continue our work and improve our ability to bring lost dogs home. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign is just as valuable.

DJI Matrice 4 Thermal - The latest and most advanced Thermal Equiped Drone
DJI AL1 Spotlight - A spotlight mounted to the top of the drone which helps illuminate an area in darkness (seen in the video below)
DJI Matrice 4 Series Batteries - Batteries compatible with the DJI Matrice 4 Thermal. More batteries mean more flight time.
If we manage to raise enough funds, we are planning to donate our existing drone (The DJI Mavick 3 Thermal) to one of the Volunteer SAR Groups and provide the training to use it FREE of Charge.
