Therapy Cat Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
I am Zulu Bear, a 7-year old Savannah cat who became a therapy cat to help a human and that's how I found my mommy. While my mommy was battling cancer and during her treatment, I was there to make her laugh with funny things I did for her. I opened the door for her and spent time doing things with and for her. Now she is in remission and on her way to feeling better. I suddenly became ill on Christmas day. My mommy spotted this lump on my forehead and took me to urgent care right away. At the emergency room, they diagnose me with a bug bite and went home with antibiotics and pain medicine. After taking antibiotics and pain medicine for 10 days, my mom noticed that my bump got much bigger and more painful. I was taken to my vet on January 6th, where they did so many weird things to me, things I've never seen before. X-rays, Injections, blood work, and a biopsy of the mass. My vet, Dr Vivian prescribed me Prednisone and again, I took it all as prescribed. Unfortunately, 10 days later they found that my bump was cancerous. Today, Mommy and I are devastated. I am scared and Mommy is sad. We drove to Phoenix to see an Oncologist on January 29th. The Oncologist determined that this cancer on my forehead is a cancerous lymphoma, which is growing fast. This lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is a special circulatory system that is made up of a complex network of lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes; therefore; this ugly lump is obstructing my breathing nasals, pushing my right eye into my head, making my vision blurry. I am not able to breathe, I lose my balance, and now my facial bone has been compromised. The Oncologist says that I only have two months left to live unless I get a treatment with radiation, and maybe chemotherapy right away. My family is trying to do everything they can to come up with the financial funds to pay for this treatment which is not cheap. The cost is near$20,000.00. If you find it your heart the opportunity to help me, please donate a few dollars to my cause, I would be forever grateful. Mommy has already depleted her savings on me, and we do not want to give up on life. Life is a precious thing. Thank you so much for your help and kindness.
