The Sher Fund

It's truly difficult to measure what someone means to you while they are around in this world. Sadly, it isn't until they are gone that we are able to fully realize all of what that special person meant to us. On December 19th, 2014, Sherzodbek Shukhratovich Mirzakabulov passed away in a fatal car accident. It came as a shock to us all. How could such a great guy with so much to life to live go so soon!? He acted like a big brother to so many. Always full of advice and concern for others. Always doing the most, yet still so humble. He would volunteer in his spare time and always put others before himself. The type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back before you even had to ask. Of course, there are a lot of unanswered questions and unresolved emotions, but the fact remains that he is gone and we have to accept it. All we can do is remember what he meant to us and aspire to be the best we can be. I beleive....no actually... I know that's what he would want us to do. Let's not mourn him so much so that we loose sight of how much passion he had for life. Let's celebrate life- the great life he lived and was able to let us be a part of. For some that mat have been a couple of days...for others that may have been a lifetime. Either way, we can all come together and cherish what we had with him. This fund has been created to help his family deal with the costs associated with getting our Sher back home safely, securely, and respectfully. We are working with the family, the embassy, and the funeral home to ensure this happens smoothly and efficiently. It is time for us to be strong so that we may support his family in their time of deep sadness and loss. Let's help Sher by helping his family get him back home to Uzbekistan where he can truly rest in peace. As his friend's, it is the least we can do.
