The Stumblin Inn

Please help my dad and uncle raise funds to cover as much of the loss of the Stumblin Inn as possible. The fire was determined NOT ELECTRICAL and started from the outside of the building, but the cause is officially unknown. Unfortunately due to the exorbitant cost, they couldn’t afford fire insurance. There are no funds to rebuild or cover excavation costs. The excavation has been estimated at $20,000 - $25,000. Not only was the building itself completely destroyed, very little memorabilia was salvaged from the inside. Even all the old T-shirt’s from our home were there because he was working on recreating new ones. My uncle lived upstairs, has no where to go and has lost all of his clothes and personal belongings. My dad had been in the process of repairs to his truck, so while his tools would normally all be in the truck, he had taken them out and kept them at the bar while his truck was at the shop. My dad says that these are all just things, but the saddest part of all of this is the death of so many memories for so many people. The bar has been owned by my family for almost 40 years and although these memories stand strong in our minds, it’s hard to grasp that new memories will never happen. So much blood sweat and tears were put into this bar, he even has spent the past few months painting the entire building himself. I grew up in this bar, literally. My dad watched me there while my mom was at work from the day I was born, all the Christmas parties that my mom dressed me in these horrible 80’s dresses for when I was a little girl, my first job scraping grease in the kitchen, bartending when I was in college, and putting on shows with my husband’s and friend’s bands. My dad has helped me raise thousands of dollars for the dear jack foundation for young adult and adolescent cancer through benefit shows where he would sacrifice all income for the night to help me. Please help me give back and donate in memory of the Stumblin’ Inn. Thank you SO MUCH to EVERYONE that has shared these memories with us and helped out in this incredibly tough situation, we can’t even express our gratitude for everything!!!
