The Ulmer Fund 2023

This Charity was inspired by my father Richard Ulmer. When I was a child my parents had me and my brother go with them as they brought a tree, the decorations, Christmas dinner and gifts for the kids to families that other wise would not be able to afford. This fund was started very grass roots. A group of amazing people that got together to donate money and time to bring 10 families Christmas. In 2014 we gave Christmas to 52 kids and their families. In 2015 and 2016 we were able to reach over 75 families and over 175 children per year. The 2019 year we had over 240 kids and 75 families. We continue to provide about 250 kids a year a Christmas they may not have received. Our group has grown to many community leaders and business owners. We currently work with OCPS Academic Center and Howard Middle School downtown Orlando to help find our families. On Christmas Eve our group of volunteers deliver 2 gifts to all kids 18 and under in the family and if needed Christmas dinner and a tree with trimmings. There will never be a salary with this organization.
