They Went To Paris

Hello.
If you're reading this, you're probably a fan, or an overly-active disliker of the Parrothead Podcast - a podcast about all things Jimmy Buffett. This show, hosted by myself (Ryan Middledorf) and Patrick McDonald (not currently writing this description) is a true labor of love. We've been releasing weekly episodes since late 2016 and have thouroughly enjoyed every second of it.
Throughout this amazing journey, we've also (somehow) built up a fanbase of the nicest folks imaginable. These people have sent us emails, messages, personal recordings, custom cocktail recipes and, in one very special instance, tickets to see Jimmy Buffett live in Paris...oh my.
I'm sure you've caught on by now...we want to go to Paris and we need your help.
Patrick and I are downright terrible about asking for money - it feels wrong and we just don't like it, but, we've been given a once in a lifetime opportunity and we need to take advantage of it...right?
Here's the deal - we're asking for $5,000. This money will be used in the following ways...
- Flights to/from Paris for Patrick, myself and Olivia (manager extraordinaire).
- Lodging expenses (Patrick has informed me multiple times that we won't be staying in a scary hostel).
- Food (I was told that this was a necessary expense).
That's it! We'll be gone four to five days in September of this year (2018) and will attend one of Buffett's shows in Paris. We will also record multiple episodes and will be documenting the whole experience on video...I'm sure we'll use that footage for something.
Please note - any money that we do not use in Paris will be donated to charity (charity to be named later).
As of right now, that's all we have to say. We will be working hard over the next few months to update this page as much as possible - we will also be looking to add special incentives to anyone who wants to donate to this truly insane thing (Marvin Gardens names, Fruitcakes Challenges, special episodes, live appearances, guest opportunities, etc...).
This will be a truly insane experiment...
