Thibodeaux Family Emergency
Donation protected
My dad, James Thibodeax, was recently in an accident that left him with each of his ribs broken, internal bleeding, a lacerated liver, a level three laceration on one of his kidneys, and stitches in 3 places on his head.
James has been in my life for 27 years, and my amazing bonus dad for about 18. This man never hesitates to help others. I mean, I have literally watched him give the shirt off of his back to someone in need. He has taken countless children into his home, always providing a place where they can be full, safe, and loved. He's been involved in coaching, the community, the race track. This man is one of the greatest on earth.
James, my mom, and my siblings are severely impacted by this accident. My mom, Nicole, works only during the school year as a Para-Professional for Nye County Schools, and does not receive pay during the summer months. James JUST started within a new company at the test site two weeks ago. Meaning he has no paid time off or short term disability. Which means, he has no income.
Due to James' ribs being broken, he is unable to use his arms without being in excruciating pain. So this leaves him helpless do basic things like feed, clothe or bathe himself. My mom has been staying with him between the hours of 8AM - 8PM, due to their restricted visiting hours at UMC.
Only two people can visit him at a time, and because of that my siblings (14, 13 & 9) have had to return home. No income makes it impossible to get rooms for the kids to stay in.
James has always been willing to love and help whoever he could, even when it was not easy for him. With this fundraiser, we are requesting two things: 1. Help with money for bills while my parents are out of work. 2. Meals being made and delivered to my young siblings while they do not have parents present to cook for them..
We do have adults checking in with the children regularly, so their safety is not an issue. They just need warm meals, and love. The same things James has countlessly provided for other children in the comminity.
Thank you. I love you all, always.
