Things Musicians Don't Talk About
Donation protected
Hey everyone!
First off, we'd like to extend huuuuuuge thanks to you all for your ongoing support, listenership and motivation to keep chipping away at these important conversations. It's so so easy sometimes to feel like nothing is changing, particularly when you're working or studying in the same systems that have been so flawed for so long, and it can be easier to brush things under the carpet instead of facing them head on.
In order to keep going with the pod, the socials, workshops, blogging etc., we're looking to cover the next year of content, including:
- paying our audio editor(s)
- covering our subscriptions (podcast distribution platform, website etc.) which currently total around £50 per month
We're so proud of what we've achieved through Things Musicians Don't Talk About so far, having recorded over 70 episodes with guests from all over the world and the music profession, lead several in-person talks and workshops, organised the inaugural Musicians' Injury Awareness Week (2021), continued to commission and collaborate with bloggers, worked in conjunction with the UK conservatoires, Help Musicians UK, the ISM and the Royal Society of Musicians, and featured in both the European String Teachers Association magazine and Music Teachers magazine.
We'd absolutely love to keep going with our work in a sustainable way, and are asking for donations as an investment in the future of Things Musicians Don't Talk About. We believe there are still so many conversations to be had and changes to be made to keep musicians and artists safe and well in the long term.
Thank you so so very much in advance.
