BraveMaker celebrates diversity and fosters justice and inclusion across communities through guided discussions and powerful, authentic storytelling through films.

Since the production company, Bravemaker, is a non-profit, donations are tax-deductible.

Things Will Change is a story about a grief-stricken girl who runs into a fun-loving boy at the beach. It is a San Francisco set dramedy centered around two strangers trying to make their way home, exploring friendships, love, and loss along the way. The film explores the effect a stranger can have on your life, and how one evening can change the way you view yourself and everyone around you. It is a coming of age story about two high schoolers that learn that there is more to people than what they tell you upfront.

High school is a turbulent time in the lives of teenagers. Friendships end, relationships bud, and by the end of your four years, you are a changed person. The importance of vulnerability cannot be stressed enough, and the film shows that if you let people in, they can help you in ways you may have thought were not possible,

There has yet to be a story about teenagers, written by a teenager with the depth and detail it deserves, until now.

 

What we're doing

We're raising money to go into production! Here is a breakdown of the costs:

Two Day shoot:

• 7 Actors/125 a day - $875.00
• Photography - 1500/day - $3,000.00
• Producers/Director - 800/day - $1,600.00
• Editors - Flat rate of $2,500.00
• Sound - 300/day - $600.00
• Production Management - 500/day - $1,000.00
• Music Director - Flat rate of $2,500.00
• Production Insurance - $500.00
• Hair/Makeup - 350/day - $700.00
• Craft services/Food - $ 420.00
• Contingencies - $805.00
• Total Cost: $14,500.00

Your donation would be essential to maintaining COVID guidelines as well as keeping everyone on set healthy and happy! No matter which tier you donate in, you will get regular updates on how the production is going!

All donors will receive a letter of gratitude as well as a social media about out if desired! Donors that give $100 or more get a special thanks in the credits, and donors that give $500 or more get an invitation to the premier!
