This bull found that I have cancer....

Little did we know that the bull Border Crisis jumping the fence at the Redding Rodeo would alert Paige to her having cancer and saving her life.
Well, let's start from the beginning. Paige is 25 and has been attending rodeos for her whole life. Back in May of 2022, she went to the Redding Rodeos Friday night performance with her boyfriend and family. It was the typical rodeo, even cheering on RSM Equipment in the Chuck Wagon Races (yes, RSM won that night). When it was time for the bulls, Paige and her boyfriend, Brandon, found seats right along the edge to get the best views of the bull rides. It was time for Jake Gardner to ride Border Crisis. The gate opened up, and Border Crisis bucked strong for 8 seconds. Jake won the night with an 86-point ride.
Here is where Paige's life would change forever. Border Crisis decided that he did not want to stay in the arena, he decided to jump over the rail, and Paige was the first person he landed on. As Border Crisis went over the rail, he kicked Paige in her back. Everyone was very shaken, including Paige, right after this happened. We realized that the bull had kicked Paige as the adrenaline wore off. Paige was treated by the Justin Sports Medicine team at the rodeo and was directed to the emergency room to get evaluated. While at the ER, they conducted a whole body CT scan to check for internal injuries. Secondary to the scan, the doctors found a mass on her neck. The ER doctors were very concerned about this and wanted her to get it checked out by her primary care doctor soon.
Fast forward a few months, and due to a slow medical system, Paige was finally able to get a biopsy. Those results told us what no person wants to hear; you have cancer. This news shocked our whole family. Why does a healthy, fun-loving young lady get cancer at the age of 25?
So now begins the process of beating cancer. This cancer needs the best doctors looking at Paige to kick it in the ass. Through some rodeo family, we were referred to one of the best cancer treatment hospitals in the nation. They quickly contacted us, and now we have to start arranging travel for Paige and her family for treatment.
Paige is very humble and does not like asking for help along with her family. We have quickly realized that this is bigger than that. Healing comes not only from doctors but from the family support around you. Paige will have to miss work and go without income for a time. Paige and her family will also have significant out-of-pocket medical and travel expenses as she receives treatment and care.
For those that can help, we want to thank you in advance. All the funds we raise will cover Paige's medical bills, travel, and expenses.
Her story is not over; she just got ran over by a bull to change her life a little.
