THIS IS MY EVEREST - NBCFB

My name is Oisín McVicker and every year, before Christmas, I push myself to complete an extreme challenge, something a bit different, to raise much needed funds for The North Belfast Community Foodbank.

This year, on Friday 2nd December at 12am my support team and I aim to commence the first of 25 laps of The Cavehill Country Park (The equivalent of the height of Mount Everest). This is an extremely challenging event which will push us to our physical and mental limits.

Many families in my local community are feeling the strain now more than ever and having to choose between heating their homes or feeding their families. Many already avail of the vital service that The North Belfast Community Foodbank provides, and I would like to do my part in helping to raise some much-needed funding to ensure the continuation of this service for those that need it the most.

I would be grateful if you could spare a couple of quid towards this fantastic charity and to help raise awareness of the work that they do in my community.
