This is the story of Chris Luna

One year ago on November 26, 2022, Chris was invited to a family Thanksgiving gathering, and at approximately 11:30 pm we received a call informing us that he had been shot in the head. It seems that there was an altercation of some sort between two other individuals. Chris had tried to calm the situation down but one of the individuals decided that Chris would be the new target of his aggression and a physical altercation broke out between Chris and that individual. After the altercation was separated the individual left the gathering and Chris went to sit inside his truck to calm down a short time later, the individual returned walked up behind the truck, and started shooting at Chris. A total of 7 shots were fired several hitting the truck and one hitting Chris on the left side of his head about 1 inch away from his temple. Chris managed to get out of his truck and walked up to the residence to get help. He was rushed to the hospital once the ambulance arrived. However, since did not have insurance, the hospital provided him with very minimum care and released him two days later with the bullet still in his head. Chris is now left paying out of pocket for the ER visit, doctor visits after being released, and the surgery he needed to remove the bullet from his head. All of this has taken a toll on Chris physically, mentally, and financially. We are creating this GoFundMe in hopes that Chris can receive help in paying his outstanding medical bills and for the future appointments he is still needing so that he may have a full and speedy recovery.
