This is Vintage Now Vol. 2

                                                                   FUNDED; THANK YOU!

Throughout the Western world,
there is an unseen group of people who are engaged in a love affair with life as it used to be in the recent past, in particular with the 1950’s and  early 1960’s. Dissatisfied with the mild dystopia that postmodern life has become, these people retreat to their homes, collect old music and memorabilia, refurbish mid-century furniture and teardrop campers, watch Turner Classic Movies, and desperately wish for a return to a simpler time.  It’s possible that, if you’re reading this,  this may even be you.

If you’re like many enthusiasts of the mid-20th Century, you may feel as though you are alone in your quest for a better quality life.  Well, you’re not alone.  Your voice is part of a growing worldwide refrain, whose demand for a return to the good life of times past—good music, good culture, perennial fashion, and well-made goods—is getting louder and louder.  It must be heard.

My name is David Gasten, and I am producer of a compilation album series called This is Vintage Now, whose vision is to connect people like you who love the music and lifestyle of the 1950’s and 1960’s with a growing set of great musicians who bring the spirit of the 1950’s and 1960’s to life.  Our first compilation, simply entitled This is Vintage Now, was a significant hit in Spotify, with 2.4 million song plays and counting.  We have a follow-up album entitled This is Vintage Now Vol. 2: Happiness is a Way of Life that is compiled, but needs proper production, mastering, and promotion.  If you love the music or the lifestyle of the 1950's and 1960's, this album is for you!

                                                     No Compromise on Quality

The artists on This is Vintage Now Vol. 2 have been hand-selected, and their songs assembled into a fantastic album that feels like an Instant Holiday (or, as we say in America, an Instant Vacation).  We pay the artists for the exposure, not the other way around. Veteran sound engineer Bill Metoyer, who has worked at major recording studios from Capitol Records Studios on down, will master the album to give it a crisp, warm, vinyl-like sound.  We will promote the album relentlessly, and let the world know that the great music of yesteryear is back!

And there's more once we are done! We will follow up this release with a party album entitled This is Vintage Now Vol. 3: Good Times, Good Tunes!  Songs for When You’re Feeling Good. Surplus funds that this fundrasier brings in will go toward the production of that album.  We have plans for Volumes 4 and 5; one will be an Instant Swing Dance Album and the other a Personality Album featuring a kaleidoscope of talented singers backed by some of today’s best big bands. Vinyl LP releases and Package Tours of the artists will follow.
