Thom Millsap - Heart Surgery

Hello friends.  Local Naples, Florida Artist Thom Millsap, in the very early morning of Tuesday, November 17, was showing symptoms of suffering a heart attack.  He and Jane (also an artist) both had just recently exhibited at an art show that weekend prior and he was feeling as though he had possibly pulled a muscle in his chest.  The pain would come and go away until 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, everything intensified with extreme pain in his chest.   Jane rushed him into the ER where the doctors discovered that he needed open heart surgery and we thank the heavens above that we made it to the hospital in time or the doctor said he would have experienced a massive heart attack and died.  The heart doctors at Naples Community Hospital, Dr. Flynn and Dr. Toscanno, were so amazing and so fast to assess his critical condition and saved Thom’s life.

Since this has happened, so far, Thom and Jane have had to cancel 3 art shows as they have started the normal season here in SW Florida.   Thom is a full-time artist living in Naples for the past 35 years.  He has a Master of Fine Art Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Thom normally spends 8 to 10 hours a day (Monday through Friday), painting his beautifully inspired bright colored cottages, landscape scenes from all of his travels around the world at his Naples art studio and Gallery.  Thom’s gallery is Millsap Art Gallery, 2377 Linwood Avenue, Suite 201, Naples, Florida 34112 and business cell is [phone redacted] and [phone redacted].  On the weekends, he and his Jane exhibit their artwork at many of the local National Art Festivals from October through April.

Between Jane being with Thom as much as possible at the hospital and her still managing their art studio/gallery, and Jane’s Boutique “Art Mosaic Fashion,” they realize this set back will make a significant impact on their income because they both work as full time artists.
