Thomas Alec - Heart Surgery

PLEASE HELP DONATE & SHARE TO SPREAD AWARENESS - Update on Thomas Alec!! We are SO humbled and grateful by all the compassion expressed for this tiny little guy on the other side of the world. I can’t begin to thank you for all your expressions of help and concern. We thank the Lord for each and every one of you. Thank you!!! We are very encouraged. First, Thomas Alec cardiologist has relented on the nearly impossible funding/timing box that he was originally placed in. As I previously described we were operating under what I had started to think of as “vicious book-ends.” We were not allowed to petition for aid until after my son had a certain test, but we only had six weeks from then to GET the aid or he would need the test again! A test that costs $6000 (including travel and incidentals). Well a few days ago, the amazing office coordinator AND apparently Alec's SPECIAL ANGEL for this and many other reasons) appealed to the doctor, telling her that we just couldn’t make it under those constraints. The doctor relented and gave us another month! Thomas Alec surgery is ON THE SCHEDULE -- with up-front payment previously required -- for March 2024!! The other amazing news is the generosity of our state-side donors. We have not received much from the Fundraising yet, but you guys have been amazing!!! Here are the numbers again: We need approximately $19,000 to cover all the costs, open heart surgery, preliminary testing, as well as travel and expenses. We have saved and raised $7,000 outside this GoFundMe but we need to raise $12,000 more in order for my son to have his heart fixed after the catheterization.
