Thomas Bittinger and Family

Hi, my name is Shana and I’m a friend of Tom and Michelle Bittinger. As some of you may already know Tom is seriously struggling with his health this year.

On July 18, 2022, while working out of town, Tom was taken to the hospital for difficulty breathing. In less than 24 hrs from his arrival, Tom and Michelle received the news that he’s been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This is not Tom’s first bout with cancer, as he was diagnosed in 2019 with a rare form, known as Dedifferentiated Liposcarcoma. Since his diagnosis in July, Tom has been in and out of the hospital on several occasions, with never ending health problems. His most recent being Bealls palsy. The doctors say that Tom’s best chance at beating this is with a bone marrow transplant, in which they are waiting for a match. Tom has not been able to work and the financial burden has been out on Michelle as she tries to work 2 jobs, run back and forth to Morgantown to care for Tom and take care of her children. If we could all pitch in to help lightening this load, it would be a huge help to the family.
