Thomas Gallatin & Family

We all know someone that always seems to be there for everyone. Someone with talent and smarts, but more than that – someone who honestly cares for others enough that if he can help, he would. That is our friend, Thomas Gallatin. A man who loves his family, works with his hands, and hides his own needs.

Approximately nine months ago, Thomas went to the doctor for something simple – a mark on the back of his ear. Simple enough. Something to be looked at, tested and removed. But never something that you would expect to turn into a fight for your life. Since that first meeting and positive test for metastatic melanoma, things escalated quickly. Tumors have returned in his neck, and it has also spread to his abdomen. He is currently having to travel to Birmingham to receive immunotherapy. Thomas has not

given up trying to provide for his family. However, he cannot physically fulfill the entire working day. The treatments are taking a toll on his body.

Thomas does not fight alone – he is blessed with an incredible family that loves him BIG. His wife Carol, of 20 years, his daughter Ella in college and his son Marshall in high school.

Thomas has always helped others. He always knows just what to do – and how to do it. This fight is out of anyone’s realm, including someone like Thomas. This is not a one-person job – or even a one-family fight. This WILL take all of us to help someone in the fight for their life. Someone who has always been there for others without question…and someone who deserves to be there for his family when the fight is over.
