Thomas (Tom) Weaver

Today Heaven gained an extraordinary angel in Thomas (Tom) Weaver. A kind and caring man who served his country in the Army. He had a real heart for animals, especially dogs in need. Tom loved and adored his wife of 26 years. Deb has told us that she has cried when some of her fosters have been placed. She now cries with a broken heart with the loss of Tom.

Together they began fostering for Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue Inc. just a year and a half ago. On disability with limited physical capabilities, Tom led the way in the care of 14 Lab fosters in that time, welcoming them into their home and seeing to their health and wellbeing. He taught them that humans could be kind. Showing them what unconditional love is.

Tom changed many lives in his time on this Earth, but we will remember him most for the 14 lives he saved and changed with Deb by his side.

Deb is facing some difficult days in the weeks ahead, including making ends meet in the wake of Tom’s unexpected departure. Tom and Deb were selfless by helping dogs and giving them homes when no one else would. Now Deb needs our help. We respectfully request a donation of any amount to assist his beloved carry on without financial worry.
