Saturday the 17th of December, was the day Thomas 'Nugget' Walker spread his wings and left this earth. In a tragic twist of fate, the thing he loved most was the thing that took him away. Thomas was involved in a devastating motor bike accident, leaving behind his parents Roland and Anita Walker, sisters Chloe, Brittany and Chelsea as well as a close knit family.

Amongst the grief of losing Tommy, his family made the decision to donate his organs knowing that this is what he wanted. Because of his generosity five other families received a Christmas miracle in the form of receiving Tom’s heart, kidneys and liver (split into two). His final act of kindness shows not only us, but the world, what an amazing, selfless person Tom was and how lucky we all are to have known him.

Thomas was a gifted sports person and no matter what sport his participated in, he excelled at it. He participated in athletics, soccer, touch football and rowing, loved the beach and was a junior surf life saver.
Thomas was also extremely intelligent. He aspired to become a mechanical engineer because he just loved anything mechanical, especially motor bikes.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated by Roly, Anita, Chloe, Brittany and Chelsea to assist in funeral expenses and possibly a memorial in honour of Thomas at one of his sporting clubs.

Recently Thomas and his parents purchased a Nissan Patrol chassis that he was going to build from scratch with the help of his dad and best mate. It was going to be bright orange with AstroTurf instead of floor carpet. The funds will also be used to help the family fulfil Tom's dream and finish this project in his memory.

The Walker family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital for all their care and support.  They would also like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, condolences, flowers, phone calls and messages during this time.
