Meet the Whittaker family. Thomas is a police officer and Theresa is a stay-at-home mom with five of their 7 children still dependent on their parents.
Theresa’s stage four breast cancer, Thomas’ knee replacement surgery and then an unexpected second surgery to remove his spleen have left this family in temporarily dire financial straights. They still face more medical uncertainties. It is unknown what caused Thomas’ spleen to enlarge. He is possibly facing more unpaid time off (all paid time off has been used) and medical bills. We’d like to raise just $9000 to help the Whittakers over this hump.
