Thomas’s brain tumour journey
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tracy & I am fundraising for my son Thomas and his young family.
On the 14th February 2024, it was a normal day for the family. Thomas was out playing with the dogs & their young daughter Miller in the afternoon.
Chloe had gone to work due to finish work at midnight. For some reason, she was sent home early this night.
At around 1.00 am, Chloe was woken to what she thought Thomas was kicking blankets off but in fact he was having a seizure!
luckily Chloe is a paramedic & knew she had to act straight away.
The ambulance arrived , they checked Thomas over thinking he may of had a tick burrowed in some part of him. But, no tick to be found.
Thomas was taken to Babinda hospital where he had another seizure which lasted 7 minutes, 5 of which he wasn’t breathing. Chloe jumped in & performed CPR. The doctors at this hospital thought he was fine, little did they know Chloe would not take that answer.
Thomas was then transported to Cairns Base Hospital where they finally performed more tests which showed he had a tumour on the front of his brain
We are now in Townsville waiting for surgery to remove the tumour.
The hospital is saying this is elective surgery and could cost thousands of dollars.
With Thomas not able to work & Chloe due for maternity leave in a few months, they will have no source of income.
They are a young family trying to make their life in this world & this has been the most difficult & trying moment they will ever encounter.
Any donation will go to medical expenses now & in the future.
Your generosity will be deeply appreciated.
