Thomas Tavar's Eagle Scout Project
My name is Thomas Tavar, I am 16 y/o and live in Newtown Connectiut. I have been a scout since the age of six. Over the past nine years I worked very hard to achieve the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star Scout, and Life Scout. Life Scout is the final rank before you can be nominated for the National Eagle Scout award. Since 1912 only about 2.5 million boys have received the Eagle Scout Award. That represents only 4% of all Boy Scouts!
One of the many requirements needed to obtain the National Eagle Scout Award is to complete a service project that benefits your community. For my Eagle Scout service project I have decided to build a prominent public Information Kiosk on the campus of Fairfield Hills in Newtown CT.
My family and I have estimated the cost for building this Kiosk would be about $2,800 dollars. Please help me raise these funds so that I may build this wonderful information booth that will benefit my community and will last for many many years.
Yours in Scouting,
Thomas Tavar III
