Thoracic spine surgery fund

My name is Amy and my husband Chris is in need of thoracic spine surgery. We usually don't share a lot of medical issues on social media, but like the saying goes " desperate times call for desperate measures". I've tried a hundred times on how to word this without sounding desperate, but the truth is that we could use help. As some of you may know Chris has had back issues for a very long time. He has been living life in great pain for over a year now. His neurosurgeon as well as his pain management team tell him he needs to have the surgery sooner rather than later. They had set a surgery date for April, Things were going smoothly until he placed notice with his job to go on short term disability for 6 weeks to heal. The following Monday he is let go from work. Now we are forced to accelerate the surgery date so it would be covered by his insurance. The current date is March 8th,which doesn't leave us much time to prepare. The out of pocket amount we need before that date is $2864, we are also paying 600$ to keep his insurance for the extra month. It's stressful enough to prepare for your spouse to undergo a serious surgery, but to add on top of that the fact that you will be without a paycheck as well makes it worse.
