Thoughts, prayers and maybe a little help...

Hi, my name is Jasen. My sister (Kendra), brother (Chase) and I are starting this gofundme for our mom (Darla Donaldson) who was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer 2 years ago.

During the initial diagnosis, we found out that the cancer had attached itself to vital organs so she had to undergo a few rounds of chemo in hopes the tumor would shrink and allow them to do the surgery with less risk. After a round or so, she was able to have a successful surgery to remove the cancer. While in surgery they were able to do a new kind of chemotherapy, washing the organs in hopes of eliminating the cancer.

After well over 7 months of recovery from the surgery and several rounds of chemo, she was declared CANCER FREE! Things were looking very good for a diagnosis that takes 80% of women within 5 years.

Fast forward to the present day, and inevitably it seems, the cancer has shown up again and she has already done 1 round of chemo at the time I'm writing this.

I started this gofundme to ask if I could get people to send Darla letters, cards and words of encouragement because sometimes that is all someone needs to keep their head up and continue to fight.

Cancer is a life-shattering disease that takes a lot of willpower to face. I humbly ask for your thoughts and prayers for Darla during this trying time.

If you would like to donate money it would be more than appreciated, but certainly not expected, as she has to drive about 2 hours round trip for her chemotherapy sessions along with several other expenses. But even more welcome would be lots of cards and handwritten letters from friends, family and even strangers who care.
