Threads for BHOG: Kenya Relief
Donation protected
My name is Nyah Phillips and I am a high school student at International Academy in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
In August 2018, I traveled with an ophthalmic medical team to Migori, Kenya to help provide medical care for the Kenyan people.
While there, I stayed at the Kenya Relief BHOG orphanage, where I learned about the social and financial hardships of the children and families in the area.
Some of BHOG's most needed supplies are bed sheets and blankets, which provide the children with warmth and protection from disease carrying bugs at night. As sheets and blankets are often difficult (sometimes impossible) to find in Migori, Kenya, it is up to us to collect the materials and send them overseas.
All donated funds will go directly to Kenya Relief to offset the transportation costs of the sheets and blankets, or to purchase additional supplies.
