Three friends run the Sunderland 10k for If U Care Share

We are Baz, Chris and Evan. In November 2024, we lost our close friend James to suicide aged just 27. Whether it be on the cricket field, playing the piano or leading the church youth group, James gave his all to everything and everyone he loved - and always did it with a huge smile. His shock passing has left an unfillable hole in the hearts of his family and friends.

We don't think anyone else should feel that pain, which is why we are running the Sunderland 10k in his memory to raise funds for If U Care Share. From their head office in Chester-le-Street, IUCS work across Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle to support those struggling with their mental health, prevent suicides and support the loved ones of those who tragically take their own lives.
