Meet Gorgeous George, THE Dude of Chill Cats.
- Strike one: Dumped at a colony in Watts to fend for himself.
- Strike two: Suffering with entropion (a painful eye condition).
- Strike three: Down in the mouth with Stomatitis.
- Strike four: Diagnosed with Dry (Occular) FIP
Lucky for Gorgeous George the ump cried foul and not fair!
Georgie was found during a TNR sweep in Watts and put his chill dudeness on display for all to see. This is no cat to live on the streets so he was packed up and sent to a foster and is awaiting adoption. But then strike two and three struck. Gorgeous George suffers with entropion, that's a condition where the eyelashes curl inward and scrape the eye with each blink. Entropion is a painful condition that can ulcerate the corneas and cause blindness. Entropion
Gorgeous George can't seem to catch a break! He was also diagnosed with stomatitis. Stomatitis is similar to being allergic to your teeth and causes painful inflammation and gingivitis. Stomatitis
Both entropion AND stomatitis require surgery to correct. It's just not fair!
The Sam Simon Foundation Free Surgical Mobile Clinic has generously provided the entropion surgery and now Gorgeous George can blink pain free! Stomatitis is next big medical milestone. Even the playing field for Gorgeous George, help him get surgery! The estimate from from $1500 to $2500 depending on how many teeth need to be extracted.
Any funds not used for Georgy's medical needs will be donated to the Sam Simon Foundation Free Surgery Clinic.
Gorgeous George is chill, and a dude, and deserving to live life without pain. If you can donate, please do, if you can't, please share.
Thank you!
