Donation protected
The LGBTIQ2S+ Crosswalk Fund is to support the installation of Rainbow & Transgender crosswalks in Thunder Bay.
The initial project will support the installation of a Rainbow & Transgender crosswalk on Algoma Street at Bay Street and a Rainbow Crosswalk on Donald Street at May St. This project will also support Thunder Pride Association's 10th Anniversary in 2020 as a Legacy Project for the milestone of Ten Years.
Thunder Pride Association is fundraising up to 50% of the total project cost, estimated around $15,000. Any additional monies raised in addition to this will be used to fund future crosswalk projects in Thunder Bay.
Thunder Pride Association will match every dollar raised up to $5000.00.
We need the funds in place by early 2020. The planning phase will take place from November 2019 to February 2020. The plan is to have the crosswalks installed by June 1, 2020.
This project will mean so much to our community and to the LGBTIQ2S+ people in Thunder Bay and Region. These crosswalks represent acceptance, understanding and creates an important symbol that Thunder Bay is welcoming of all people.
The beneficiary of the monies raised will be Thunder Pride Association and will go to support the installation of the 2 locations crosswalks in Thunder Bay.
Thank you for supporting this incredible cause and project to foster an even more inclusive Thunder Bay.
