Dear THUNK A Cappella Community,
We stand against the brutal murder of Black people by the police- modern-day lynchings that are part of a centuries-old history of anti-black racism- built into the very fabric of this country we inhabit. We stand with those protesting across the country, activists who are braving abuse and violence at the hands of the police as they fight to assert what should not be in question: BLACK LIVES MATTER.
What are we doing to help?
-> We will be donating all Spotify profits to organizations that work to uplift and protect Black people in Chicago and across the country.
-> This GoFundMe has been made to collect donations that will be 100% made to the following organizations: Circles & Ciphers, Brave Space Alliance, the NAACP, and EJI.
*Donation receipts with be posted on Instagram to be held accountable for the funds.
Change is long overdue. In this time of pain and protest, THUNK A Cappella stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement and in stark opposition to police brutality and systemic racism. We vow to use our collective voice to uplift anti-racist practices and to fight for equality.
