UPDATE: 05/14/24!
Dear supporters and fans of "Thursday's Special,"
As we near the end of our production journey, we are thrilled to share some exclusive production screen grabs with you all! With 98% of principal photography wrapped up, we are gearing up for our final day of shooting in Brooklyn, NY in the coming weeks.
Now, as we enter the post-production phase, we are reaching out to our dedicated supporters for a final push. While we successfully reached our initial financial goal for production costs, we are now aiming to raise an additional $3,000 to cover post-production expenses such as film editing, sound editing, color grading, and music composition.
Every dollar raised will directly contribute to ensuring the highest quality for our film. We are fortunate to have a team of talented individuals who are generously lowering their rates to support our vision.
Hello from the fabulous 'Thursday's Special' creative team! Our goal is to craft a unique rom-com, a nostalgic nod to your '80s favorites, but with a modern twist.
'Thursday's Special' is cooking up a hilarious rom-com feast a la Diner, Crossing Delancey, and When Harry Met Sally! Join Benny, the audacious Hasidic maverick from Borough Park, as he contemplates ditching his arranged marriage for the mysterious Latina at the deli.
Help us unleash the laughter – support our fundraiser and let's turn Benny's quirky journey into cinematic gold!

HERE'S THE FLANKEN AND POTATOES!
In the heart of Brooklyn, where bagels are practically a currency and pigeons have stand-up routines, meet Benny – a Hasidic man with a beard as epic as his love story. Benny's life takes a twist when he discovers that destiny has a sense of humor.
In this whirlwind of culture clashes and culinary capers, Benny stumbles upon his bashert, Jezzie – a Latina beauty, whose Thursday visits at the local deli are the highlight of his week.
As the pastrami gods work their magic, Benny faces a dilemma hotter than a jalapeño-infused matzo ball. Tradition or love? The clatter of dishes becomes a symphony of choices, and Benny, like a kosher Indiana Jones, embarks on a quest that challenges the very essence of his convictions.
Will Benny make it to the chuppa with his arranged match, or will he throw caution – and maybe a gefilte fish or two – to the wind for Jezzie?
So, buckle up for a bumpy ride through Brooklyn, where Benny's heart is as confused as a tourist at a New York subway station. It's a hilarious journey of love, tradition, and the absurdity of finding your bashert in a deli.
