Lisa’s Road to Recovery

As you all may have heard by now my mother Lisa Martin-Easton was involved in a multi-car crash on Wednesday April 26th in Peekskill on lower south street.

Lisa has been in ICU since her accident and has sustained several broken ribs and a fractured sternum. During the whole ordeal my mothers heart stopped twice and they had to resuscitate her, The doctors have reported that she now has a weak heart and are trying to determine if that was the cause of her losing consciousness while driving or if it was a result of the accident.

My mother is awake now and alert in ICU however, she is experiencing some short term memory loss due to the trauma of the accident. The family has been telling my mother the outpour of love, prayers and well wishes that you all have been sending her, and although she forgets minutes after, we remind her again anyway. My mom and dad, Daryl Easton are the sole financial supporters and he has been out of work to be with her everyday. We are expecting her to be out of work for quite some time if not indefinitely due to her accident and are asking for financial support to take care of home ie: bills/expenses while she is recovering and until we can set up disability for her.

Again, from the bottom of our hearts we cannot thank the men who pulled my mother from her car enough, the officer who started CPR and the EMT staff who took such great care of my mother enough, or you all for your text messages, calls, DM’s, prayers and love enough. My mother is a fighter and we will continue to pray for her during her long road to recovery.
