Caregiving Fund for Joyce M. Nicholson

Our dear friend, beloved community and family member, Joyce Nicholson, is in the final stages of her life and needs our help to stay in her home. Musician, artist, athlete, Joyce has been an invaluable member of the Santa Fe community for over 30 years, serving on the board of the Santa Fe Symphony, a member of the UU congregation, and countless other organisations. Joyce suffered a heart attack early September 2019 and was sent home from the hospital under hospice supervision. She does not have the resources for the essential caregiving she needs to stay safe and comfortable in her home while she moves through the last weeks and possibly months of her life. Joyce has heart failure and extreme lung incapacity. Bed-bound, she needs daytime and night time caregiving help to stay stable and safe. We are hoping with your help she can remain in her home. One week of caregiving costs $1,700. We are hoping to raise the funds to help provide Joyce's end of life care for at least another 8 weeks which costs $13,600. Even the smallest donation will help. Joyce's daughter, Darcy Nicholson, is receiving any donated funds on Joyce's behalf in order to pay Joyce's caregivers for her. Thank you from all our hearts!
