Tia Pugh Legal Defense Fund
Donation protected
On 6/2/2020, my daughter Tia Pugh, a 21 year old resident of Mobile, was arrested for alleged criminal mischief and inciting a riot while attending a George Floyd protest the Sunday prior; two municipal misdemeanors. She was then arrested for federal felony civil unrest for the same incident.
Tia has never been in any trouble with the law prior to this incident. She is a positive, loving homemaker who does not deserve to be the martyr for whatever stand the powers that be are taking. She certainly does not need to be charged with a felony to follow her the rest of her life over a broken window.
She has representation at the municipal level and is ready to retain counsel for her federal charges. We have received some donations to help with fees and lost wages, however her family still falls short of what it will take to get the proper counsel to beat this federal charge. It would mean so much to Tia, her husband, her father and I if we could get support from friends, family, and the community to help us cover the costs of her legal defense. Federal cases are usually brought to trial a lot quicker than state or city charges, therefore time is of the essence for her to get the right lawyer, give him time to do the legwork needed, etc.
If you could give whatever you can to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
