Tiana Anti-Cancer Journey

Well, here we are again. Same GoFundMe, new journey. As most of you know, Tiana kicked ass this past year in battling triple negative breast cancer. Unbeknownst to us, her cancer was metastatic. The past few months she has had a slow decline in fine motor skills. And then more recently she began having postural headaches that came on quickly and brought her immense pain. Her cancer team thought that she could have been having a reaction from her immunotherapy she has been receiving (and was due to finish come September), and recommended going to the emergency room for a brain scan. The cat scan resulted in the discovery of 3 tumors in and around her cerebellum, 2 of which were pressing in and causing the mobility issues and headaches. She was transferred to OHSU on 7/19 and spent the week on steroids to keep the inflammation down. Today, 7/25 she had surgery to remove 2 of the tumors. While they were able to remove most of the tumors, they weren't able to get it all. We don't know the timeline of things right now, but we do know that the tumors are cancerous, and so she will be receiving further treatment. I know I'm not alone in the frustration, disappointment, and just absolute sorrow I feel. Tiana had just been getting back on her feet more recently, she was able to go golfing a few times, and was looking forward to getting out on the water. Tiana is a champion, and is such a fighter. You've all been so supportive, and so incredibly kind. We've felt so much community, local and online and I'll never forget your kindness.
