Tiana Miller’s Open Heart Surgery

Tiana Miller is 43 and is a loving mother to three children. She has been living with a cardiac condition since birth. After numerous doctors appointments and unanswered questions for years, she then found Dr. Beneke who diagnosed her in 2022 with Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (PAPVR) with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) which is a rare heart defect that presents at birth. Recently, she has been experiencing serious difficulties that require urgent attention and will be undergoing open heart surgery January 6th, 2023 at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Although complex in many ways, we are incredibly grateful and fortunate to have an idea of what to expect and access to the best medical care in the world.

Despite the worry, pain and uncertainty with her upcoming surgery, Tiana has remained in great spirits. If you are fortunate enough to know her, you can attest that Tiana is a firecracker. A force to be reckoned with. Her spunk and free spirit can fill a room. Her tenacity and take-no-sh*t attitude have guided her through the hardships. She continues to stay positive even during these unforeseen times. While Tiana is undergoing this upcoming procedure and recovery, we need all hands on deck to help our beautiful, magical, talented friend get by.

We understand so many peoples’ lives and incomes have changed this year due to the global pandemic. We are asking only, if you can, to donate what you can—any amount is appreciated—so that Tiana does not have to worry about procedure costs, gas, travel, food, medications and household bills that don’t stop coming in when you are unable to work.
