Tiara Jones Hill

In late September, life changed for the Hill family when Tiara, a wife and mother of 2 sons 10 & 3, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. The Cancer has metastasized, spreading to her entire reproductive system, lungs and liver. Tiara is on an aggressive treatment plan. Early this year Tiara sought treatment for reoccuring symptoms. She was told that she had a bad case of acid reflux and she was just lactose intolerant, which she has been most her her life and the doctors did not explain her sudden weight loss. After much encouragement from her husband, mother and sister, Tiara went to get a second opinion. When she went and got her second opinion from a specialty doctor, they stated that she did have some issues with her pancreas and gave her medicine to increase her stomach acid to help break her food down and ordered labs and scans for future dates. A week after the specialty appointment her husband took her to the emergency room due to her being unable able to hold her own weight his words were “she looked as if she had malnutrition”. In the emergency room is where she was given her current diagnosis. A CT scan in the emergency room found that she had several masses on her lungs, liver, pancreas, ovaries, and lymph nodes. Doctors have stated that the cancer has spread throughout her whole abdomen area and as of right now they are unable to remove any of them. The doctors hope the tumors on her liver respond to the chemo, shrinking in size so they can operate. The prognosis for her type of cancer is 18-36 months. We’re trying to beat those odds.
