I am helping to raise funds for the TibaSalama digital health program in rural Tanga, Tanzania. I visited Tanzania three years ago and the country stole a piece of my heart; I made many friends there and hope to go back to visit someday! As a mother who dealt with pregnancy complications and almost lost my baby at 20 weeks, Simon's effort to expand access to critical healthcare for pregnant women is near and dear to me. I was fortunate to have the US healthcare system at my disposal, but pregnant women in Tanzania need your help. Please consider donating and boosting the signal. Read on to learn more about the TibaSalama effort.
Vision: TibaSalama envisions a Tanzania where no mother dies from pregnancy complications and every newborn thrives.
Mission: TibaSalama aims to foster positive change, empower communities, and save lives by bridging healthcare gaps in Tanzania with digital technology.
Project Description: TibaSalama, a social enterprise based in Tanzania, aims to address the critical issue of maternal and infant mortality in rural areas. Many pregnant women in these regions face severe health risks due to delays in accessing prenatal care and hospital deliveries. These challenges are exacerbated by inadequate medical supplies, a shortage of skilled health workers, poor infrastructure, and cultural practices that undermine trust in healthcare providers.
To tackle this urgent issue, TibaSalama is seeking support to expand referral services and ensure their availability at all times, including during emergencies, rainy seasons, and nighttime. Your contribution will help enhance transportation and access to timely care, which is crucial for saving lives and preventing preventable deaths.
Call to Action: Donate today to support this vital project, make a difference, and transform the lives of families in need. Your donation will lead to lasting change and bring hope to those facing challenging conditions with limited health education and resources. By contributing, you will help TibaSalama expand referral services and improve access to essential healthcare, ensuring timely support for pregnant women and newborns in rural Tanzania.
Project Goals:
1. Improve Referral Services: Enhance transportation for pregnant women in rural areas of Tanzania to ensure timely access to hospital care, especially during emergencies.
