Help a hard working man get back on his feet!
All of our lives are turned upside down right now and while everyone's situation is strained, some people are suffering more than others. My friend Matt is in the most dire straits. Working as an independent contractor who gives his all to his customers and his family, Matt fell off of a ladder last October, catastrophically shattering both bones in his lower leg. Since that time, he has not been able to work. Not to mention the months off of his feet, and he has had seven surgeries. Matt is currently in the hospital, recovering from that latest surgery (expected to be in there for 3 weeks!!).
Because he is an independent contractor, he only gets paid when he works, and he has no health insurance and no disability. His doctor says that they may need to amputate all or part of his leg if this latest surgery doesn’t go well. Matt has a wife and kids, and cannot work right now to support his family.
He could use your help.
Please share this with your network. Also, please consider giving something to help Matt. Every little bit helps, and together we can do some good for a man and his family.
After surgery #6. Not looking good.
It looks like a whole hardware store in there. Matt jokes that it ironically looks like a ladder!
Kids are doing kid stuff!
Here's what the bones looked like before repair.
This is how it's looking right now in the hospital.
