Championship Tie Adventures in Malaysia

Howdy!! Dudes and Dudettes, family and friends! Thank you for taking a moment of your time visiting this site and reading my story. As many of you have heard by now, I have been blessed with the opportunity to compete for the World Championship of Public Speaking in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Glory be!! I won the Toastmaster's District 23 competition in May, and now plan to win all the marbles in Malaysia and bring the World Championship home to Texas, the greatest country in the United States of America. I am excited about this opportunity; however, this year is the first time the international finals will be held outside the United States. I Googled it and learned Malaysia is not a city in New Jersey. While a great opportunity, it presents a financial challenge. Toastmaster's generously covers the airfare and a portion of the conference; however, all other expenses must be covered by me. Room costs, meals, incidentals (tips, parking, phone, etc), shuttle/taxi fares, conference registration, immunizations, passport, etc. can become costly. The expected costs outside of the airfare have been scientifically guesstimated to be $3,883.54 - exactly!
     If each of my 1964 FaceBook and other friends donated $2.54 or if 4 of you donated $1124.77, I would rapidly reach my goal and I could easily make the trip to Kuala Lumpur. In my usual style I will provide interesting commentary and unique photos of my road to the world championship to keep everyone entertained! Just imagine the new Tie Adventure photo possibilities. Even those few of you that dislike me, could donate a $5.83 just to see if I might contract some really unique, horrible disease; which could be equally entertaining for you (just imagine the new Tie Adventure photo possibilities).
