Tiffany Hemphill Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Hello everyone!! My name is Kelly Porter and I am starting this Go Fund Me for a dear friend of mine!! Please, read her story below and consider contributing to the fund. No donation is too small and will be greatly appreciated! ❤️
Over the past four years Tiffany Johnson Hemphill has been on quite the journey. In 2020, amid the pandemic and struggling with multiple health issues, she suffered an enormous blow, the passing of her mother. The following year was fraught with more health issues that resulted in a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Tiffany did the only thing she knows how to do, keep going!! She juggled being a mother, a therapist to her siblings, and the best wife she can possibly be while taking the first steps toward her weight loss journey. Her commitment to getting healthy and feeling better never wavered and she lost 40 pounds through hard work and perseverance!! That first success meant she was able to have weight loss surgery in 2021. Tiffany has lost 115 pounds and 12 pant sizes throughout her journey.
If you have ever sat in Tiffany’s chair (she is a hairdresser) or seen her out in Public you know her transformation has been a long process. She chronicled her journey on Facebook sharing photos and her internal and physical struggle along the way. She also created a diary on Instagram, My Double Chin Diary, which includes intimate details of the many nights she spent in the gym. For those of you who have suffered from obesity or who have lost alot of weight you know the daily struggle of looking at yourself in the mirror and still not being satisfied with what you see. Tiffany changed her lifestyle to fit her new body while changing her mindset, which is no small task!
Everyone has goals. Big or small! When you can't achieve those goals it can crush you, especially when financial factors are the reason why. If you know Tiff, you know the last thing she would do would be to ask for help! So, I will do it for her. The next big step in her journey is to finally see the results of all her hard work. That is her panniculectomy which is the removal of loose skin. You may think the surgery is strictly cosmetic but the extra skin hanging on her body can cause rashes, infections and ulcers that just won't heal due to moisture and constant skin to skin contact. Her insurance covers most of the procedure but not all!!! She is just a mere $5000 short. Tiffany had been counting down the days to the surgery when she discovered her insurance would not completely cover the procedure. She shared this news on Facebook and she did the only thing she knows how to do, keep going!! She pledged to continue her journey, regardless and I was so moved by her dedication. I wanted to help her keep going. Please, join me in helping Tiffany finally see what she has worked so hard for.
No donation is too small! Thank you! ❤️
