Tiffany Whiddon's Story

Hi, my name Jerry Mason. A friend of mine, Tiffany Whiddon, recently diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, needs help with medical expenses. This is Tiffany's story.

"Hi, I am Tiffany Whiddon. I am the wife of Jeff Whiddon and the mother of Lillie Grace Whiddon and Justin Dakota McLain. In the summer of 2022, I started losing weight and thought I had an upper hernia. I went to the doctor for regular checkups, and the only thing they did was bloodwork. They couldn't find anything. When I brought it up to my doctor that there had to be something wrong with me because I kept losing weight, I had lost 32Lbs altogether, he explained to me he had run every blood test, and nothing showed up in my red and white blood cells. Nothing showed up in my blood because it was on the outside of my liver and not inside my liver. When they did a biopsy, they found out I had cancer in my liver, and in further scans, they found out I had pancreatic cancer, and cancer had spread from my pancreas to my liver. This was in the first part of December. They don't know how long I've had it. They said I could have had it from six months to a year already.

I was planning on going to MD Andersons Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, when I found out about Oshner Cancer Center in New Orleans. After calling the clinic, I was informed they would take on my case. So I went to Oshner with my husband, Jeff, and they explained a treatment to me that at one time you had to go to Switzerland to get. It's only been here for five months. They're going to try putting a capsule in my liver and release radiation beads first to see if I can handle the other treatments. It will be once a month treatment that is about three days long. It's supposed to shrink the cancer tumors. If this works, the doctors will work on removing the cancers."

This is just the beginning. Tiffany and her family have a long road to recover, and it will take the money they don't have. But Tiffany needs money now to pay the expenses upfront. She is in talks with her insurance company to cover the costs, but that is down the road and may not happen.

A Facebook page and group has been started. Page is "Tiffany Whiddon's Story", where you can keep up with the treatments.
