Tiffany's Celebration of Life and Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Update 1 of 3: On Sunday, March 30th, Tiffany took a turn for the worse. After the Rapid Response team was called twice, we as a family ultimately decided it was time to let her broken, fragile body rest with as much dignity as possible and had her moved to the hospice unit. In only three of the shortest and longest hours, at 2:52am on Monday, March 31st, Tiffany Marie Daniel passed peacefully as she was surrounded by her husband, mother, sister, two brothers and sister-in-law. No words can describe the immense joy and light that Tiffany brought to this world and the people around her.

Regarding her service 2 of 3: Tiffany loved to dance and would want the people, who loved her, to dance for her. For this reason, our family has chosen to have a Celebration of Life party, instead of funeral, to make sure that she is remembered and cherished as she once was, not how she left the earth. This Go Fund Me, originally created to help save her, is now to help with the immense medical expenses left to her husband and help organize a proper remembrance celebration, fit for someone who was truly a wonderful person and touched so many lives. We will be announcing a date in the next week so people can plan their travel arrangements.

Epilogue 3 of 3: The medical system failed Tiffany, but we won't. Tiffany was denied potentially life-saving care in her last 6.5 weeks because the liver team at Franklin Square was a specialty service, and they didn't take her insurance. Although she overall received great care, the denial by the liver team specialists potentially decided her fate. Our family is dedicated to promoting reform in the medical care system and making sure no one is denied potentially life-saving care in their greatest time of need. We have begun by setting up a telephone meeting with the Baltimore City Council members and a portion of proceed will go to helping us continue this journey. If even one person is saved it will be worth it.

ORIGINAL Story:
This is my 45-year-young sister. She is in need of a new liver and has many health issues because of this, or possibly the other way around. She has been in the hospital and rehab more than she has been home for the past 5ish years, probably more. She should be focusing on her health and not money. The system has failed her. She worked for Johns Hopkins most of her work life until she was not able to. She is unable to work because of her health. She can barely walk when she is healthy, and every time she goes into the hospital, her mind is a little foggier, and she needs rehab to learn to walk again along with many other health things. She applied for assistance in the state of Maryland and for some reason has been denied many times and for years when free money has been given to everybody but our own people that actually need the help. The system is garbage.

This girl and her husband need all of the help they can get, especially right now.

Please, even if you can't help with money, at least share this to help her and hopefully raise awareness.

From the bottom of mine, Tiffany's, and our whole family's heart, we thank you for any way you can help.
