Help Heal Tiffany's Beautiful Mind

Donation protected
Latest Update: Tiffany has been hospitalized two additional times, the doctors have determined she has now had 18 mini strokes and is currently on a heart monitor to determine the cause. Unfortunately, on the most recent hospital visit it was determined she has compressed nerves and minimal disc space in her neck, this will require surgery; however, surgery cannot be conducted at this time due to the medications and condition she is in. Her disability pay has significantly decreased with no current return to work confirmation.

Update 10-8: While trying to write this, Tiffany had a stroke and had to be rushed to the ER.

TLDR; Tiffany needs assistance with medical debt from a large kidney stone, an even larger aneurysm, and her husband's hernia.

The Story:

It is a struggle for me to ask anyone for help as I pride myself in helping others. With that said, sometimes we need to find the strength to reach out and depend on the humanity of the beautiful people to lend a hand to those in need.

Before reading our story all we ask is don't be sad or feel sorry for us, we live a beautiful life and have amazing friends & family, and continue to meet the most amazing people every day. We just need a little more help than they can provide. All we ask is if you are unable to donate, please share as neither of us is on social media outside of me for professional purposes.

Let me give you a little background on why I am reaching out for assistance. Earlier this year my husband and I became empty nesters and poured our life savings into home improvements. Unfortunately, we didn't do our due diligence and hired a contractor at the recommendation of a now former friend and went through a nightmare. Our entire home was packed into a pod outside for more than 3 months and we lived in our bedroom, this was not ideal as we had no shower for 6 weeks as they tore out both bathrooms, who does that? Very long story short since we lost all that money and had to pay another contractor to come in and fix things we don't have the money to pay for our most recent tragedies.

Upon waiting for my home to be completed I started to experience back pain like nothing I have ever felt, only to go to emergency and find out it was due to a quite large kidney stone that was much too large to pass (Nearly 2 inches) and was admitted to the hospital. In my mind, the pain was from living in bed for 3 months, but nope, that nurse came in with a little tape measure and showed me the difference between what is typical and what I walked in with, it was significantly larger than normal. After suffering for a bit, I was able to get it blasted and passed; however, this left us with large medical debt (Surgery #1). You see in my 45 years here I have never really been sick, I had only been in the hospital to have my babies so there was no reason for me to take an expensive health insurance plan so I chose a high deductible, every year and never come close to meeting it so no reason to think this year was any different (It was).

Once recovered and cleared from the stone I was suffering from some headaches and neck pain and saw a surgeon to obtain some injections to see if they would help, they did not. While lying in bed one night in September my husband noticed I was struggling to breathe (I was apparently silently seizing), a bit later this calmed; however, after an hour I began to have a full-on seizure and fell from my high bed to the floor. Lucky for me my daughter was here, side note, I have no memory of this but I do remember how scared everyone was, except me, I was truly at peace and knew I had a higher purpose. My memory doesn't come back into play until my second ambulance ride where I met the most amazing first responder, she said I would have a good story, and boy do I.

Truth is all the cards happened to align to allow me to fulfill my real purpose here. I had to be rushed to a second hospital across the river as there was not a surgeon on my side of the bridge that could perform the type of surgery needed to save my life. I was apparently suffering from a giant aneurism that was the largest the specialist had ever seen. Your typical aneurysm is measured in millimeters and mine came in at a whopping 4.1 centimeters causing my brain to swell and my frontal lobe to shift by between 7 and 8 mm which is causing some misses in memory and concentration. They inserted a stint and 7 coils to shrink the aneurysm over time, but this has proven to be quite uncomfortable (Surgery #2).

While I was recovering from my surgery, my husband was downstairs discovering he was in need of a surgery of his own (Surgery #3). My husband unfortunately became disabled in 2006 at the ripe old age of 28 and has undergone 10 surgeries to address his back and neck issues with many complications along the way. His most recent surgery weakened his muscle causing an incisional hernia.
