Tiger Lacrosse and Squash for HomeWorks Trenton
Tax deductible
Princeton Women’s Lacrosse/Squash is organizing a virtual 5k to raise money to benefit HomeWorks Trenton, and any donation will help make an impact.
How?
- Donate here to register for the event!
- Feel free to sign up and enter your race time in the public excel google document here.
- Run, walk, bike, or swim a 5K on October 24th-25th. If you're unavailable that weekend, run anytime that works for you.
HomeWorks Trenton:
Co-founded in 2016 by Natalie Tung (Princeton Squash '18), HomeWorks Trenton is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. It is a free, after-school residential program for marginalized high school girls that provides academic and social-emotional enrichment activities to supplement public schools. Specifically in Trenton, New Jersey, HomeWorks aims to work alongside their scholars to disrupt the narrative that Black and Latinx girls’ lives are defined by the cyclical effects of systemic injustice. To learn more about HomeWorks Trenton's mission, visit their website.
Why?
Princeton Squash/Lacrosse wants to help raise awareness for the Black Lives Matter Movement. We recognize our privilege as predominately white teams, and we stand in solidarity against the racism and violence against the Black community. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to HomeWorks Trenton. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
Independently organized by Princeton students
