Tillis Empty Chair Town Hall Fundraiser
Donation protected
A representative democracy is founded on the principle that our elected officials will listen to their constituents. One way to do that is to hold town halls. So, we've created one. We booked a venue, we're going to bring the crowd. We're even bringing in neutral moderators to ask the questions. We have reached out to Senator Tillis in a variety of formats and--so far--he has refused to attend.
So...that means Tillis will be represented by an empty chair and that his challengers will attend--and answer questions--instead. So far, state senator Erica Smith has already confirmed! We are now waiting on other candidates to confirm (and Tillis, you're still welcome to show up).
We need your help to fund this event as well as a billboard project we plan to launch in early spring before the election season really ramps up. The billboard will be an expression of our disappointment in Thom the flip-flopper- tRump-lackey-Tillis and will cost about 500 dollars a week to maintain. Depending on how much we raise for this we will keep the billboard up as close to the 2020 elections as possible and if we have ample $$ it will be in a high viewing area of NC or maybe even 2 of them!
