This is a family desperately in need of some help & support, right in our own back yard. Tim and Beth have been married for 26 years and they have 2 children - Jax is 16 and sweet Zoey is 8. Tim is currently in a care facility in Katy Tx, basically incapacitated due to another brain bleed. He is not on life support, but on a breathing machine. I honestly do not know how Beth is still standing and functioning as an amazing Mother.
Beth has been taking care of Tim for the last 5 years due to his first aneurysm, which he was left paralyzed and had to learn how to talk again. Beth also had her sick elderly Mother at her home, along with Tim's Mom and Dad that lived with them as well. Tim's Father was also ill with Diabetes. Both Beth's Mom and Tim's Father passed away during this time. So two funerals in the midst of everything. Beth was taking care of ALL these familiy members, plus getting her kids to church, mission trips, swim team etc... Beth is left with NO family other than her two kids. The Mother in law is now fighting a brain tumor and lives with one of her family members. This is for real - I have witnessed it all!!
Beth hasn't been able to work due to being at home taking care of Tim, and little Zoey was 3 at the time this all started. Disability is barely paying for the facility. Beth needs time to help her young daughter heal & cope with all this trauma, along with her own recovery. This is a couple that were youth Sunday school teachers for many years and volunteered countless hours. They had the teens over at their home, spending countless hours talking and mentoring them. They also helped me during a difficult divorce, staying up till 2 am talking. Never judging, just offering support and advice.
Any money will go towards helping Beth with RENT, so they won't be in a homeless shelter. Also money will go towards groceries, gas, help with medical bills etc... This is until Beth can recover and work on getting a job over the summer. She needs some type of training, doesn't have a resume yet nor job experience, but wants to work now that Tim is in a care facility. This a sweet person who hasn't been to the doctor herself and hasn't been feeling well lately. I was thinking about all the things she has gone with out...She hasn't had her nails done nor had a professional hair cut & color in years.. She goes with-out and buys for her kids when she can. Also their car is breaking down often, luckily it is a Toyota, but very old. Jax is 16 and could use a car if someone happens to have one that they are planning on donating. The family is praying for their Dad to come home one day.

I would like to say that we, as a family, know that our God is still very much in the miracle business. And we believe Tim will be fully healed and restored. The timing of it has not deterred our faith whatsoever. Tim's recovery has, however, been very devastating on our family, both emotionally and financially. This isn't easy to do - list your needs so publically, but I am at the point of no shame. So appreciate you spending the time getting to know us and our story.
